Police make two theft arrests

THEFT ARREST

On Thursday October 16, 2014, Cumberland City Police Officers were dispatched to  a business on Industrial Boulevard in reference to a Theft.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Shannon Grapes, age 28 of Cumberland, was allegedly observed taking store owned items from two different businesses.  When approached by officers, Grapes was found to have stolen items in her possession.  Grapes was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where she processed, served.  A bond hearing was held at Allegany County District Court Commissioners Office which resulted in Grapes being held on a $5000.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

CHARGES:  Theft Less than $100.00 dollars (2 counts)

 

THEFT

On Thursday October 16, 2014, at 2:46 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Virginia Avenue in reference to a Theft.  Investigation revealed that Nathan Renshaw, age 23 of Kingwood West Virginia, was allegedly observed by store personnel taking items from the shelves and placing them in the pockets of his clothing.  Renshaw was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
