Theft Arrest

Officers responded to Martins market on Park St. for a report of a shoplifter.  Upon their arrival they made contact with two witnesses who were shopping in the store.  They advised that they observed a W/M placing plastic containers of merchandise down his shirt.  The male was identified as William Blacker.  One of the witnesses confronted the subject about the theft at which time the Blacker said he was sorry and put the items back on the shelf.  The witness attempted to get Blacker to turn himself in at which time he attempted to push around her.  Another subject at this time detained Blacker until the police arrived.  During this time Blacker was yelling creating a disturbance.  Once officers arrived they asked Blacker if he had any money to pay for the items and he advised that he didn’t have any money.  The total amount of the theft is $12.69.  Blacker was placed under arrest and transported to PH.  At PH he was charged on Criminal Citations and processed.

Charges: Theft under $100, Disorderly Conduct

Blacker was released pending trail in District Court.
