Domestic Assault Arrest

On 02/11/14 at approximately 9:32 a.m., Cumberland City Police officers were dispatched to a residence on N. Mechanic Street in Cumberland for a report of an assault.  Upon arrival officers separated both parties involved and conducted interviews with the involved parties.  During this investigation officers learned that Kevin Lee Gordon, 26 Y/O allegedly pushed his wife to the ground and then began punching her.  The victim suffered minor injuries that did not require medical attention.  As a result of this investigation Gordon was placed under arrest and charged with the following:

Assault 2nd degree – 1 count

Gordon was processed at the Cumberland Police Department and then transported to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing.  As a result of the hearing Gordon was held at the Allegany County Detention Center on a $5000.00 bond.

 

Traffic Arrest

While on patrol on N. Centre Street a Cumberland Police officer observed a vehicle traveling with expired registration plates in front of his marked police vehicle.  The officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the operator, Anthony Robert Combs.  Combs advised the officer that he doesn’t possess a valid license and he had recently purchased the vehicle and was using the registration plates from another vehicle. Investigation revealed that Combs was operating the vehicle without the following, current registration, insurance, and a driver’s license.

As a result of this investigation Combs was placed under arrest and charged with the following:

Driving without current tags, driving without a license, driving an uninsured vehicle, unauthorized display and use of registration plates.

 

Combs was processed at the Cumberland Police Department and then transported to the Allegany County District Court Commission for a bond hearing.  As a result of the hearing Combs was held at the Allegany County Detention Center on a $1000.00 bond.
