Police make early morning drug arrest

On Saturday,at 2:00 AM, an officer from the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Queen City Drive for a minor traffic violation.  The operator was identified as Christopher Cage.   Investigation into the stop revealed that Cage was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone Bitartrate.  Cage did not have any documentation that he had a prescription for the medication.  Police also suspected that Cage was driving under the influence of alcohol.  Cage was arrested and transported to police headquarters.  Cage is currently awaiting his initial appearance before the District Court of Allegany County.

CHARGES:  CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se, Driving While Impaired by Alcohol
