Police Make Pair Of Arrests During Saturday Patrols

Warrant Arrest

On July 1, 2017 the Cumberland Police served a Circuit Court warrant for Violation of Probation on Robert Lee Hess. Hess was held without bond and taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next court appearance.

Arrested:

Robert Lee Hess, age: 34, Cumberland, MD

Charges: Violation of Probation

 

Theft Arrest

On July 1, 2017 at approximately 12:09 PM the Cumberland Police responded to a business on Queen City Drive for a shoplifting complaint where the suspect had fled the store.

When police arrived they located an employee of the business following the suspect on Queen City Drive. Police contacted the suspect, who was identified as Monique Renee Haines. Police learned Haines had stolen several items and still had some of those items on her person.

Haines was placed under arrest and issued criminal citations for Theft under $100 and Disorderly Conduct. She was released pending trial in District Court.

Charges: Theft under $100 and Disorderly Conduct
