Just after midnight officers were contacted in reference to a male subject who the caller believed to be the suspect from the M&T Bank robbery which occurred earlier in the month.  Officers located the subject and it was determined that he was not the robbery suspect.  Upon speaking with him officers discovered that the caller and another male subject had assaulted this individual and stolen property from him.  Officers attempted numerous times to reestablish contact with the caller who was now a suspect in a robbery investigation but she would not answer her phone.  Officers were able to locate the female caller Kimberly Lynn Shafer at a South Centre Street business along with a male subject who fit the description given as the individual involved.  Officers spoke with both parties and Kimberly Shafer provided false information to officers about what occurred.  Officers also spoke with the male who was identified as Ryan Scot Shafer along with other witnesses.  It was determined that Kimberly and Ryan observed the male in the business and confronted him about the robbery.  The male victim attempted to leave and but the two followed him outside.  Once outside Ryan assaulted the male victim and stole a bag that his was carrying with had personal belongs located inside.  Ryan and Kimberly then returned to the business after the robbery throwing the bag and property in a nearby trash can.  At the conclusion of the investigation both Ryan and Kimberly were taken into custody and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.  The male victim was injured as a result of the incident but did not require medical treatment.  Both subjects were taken before the District Court Commissioner for a hearing.  Kimberly Shafer was released pending trial in District Court.  Ryan Shafer was held without bond following.
