On Thursday, December 6, 2019, the Cumberland Police were dispatched to Johnson Street for a motor vehicle crash into a residence. While officers were enroute, they were advised that the suspect vehicle fled the scene entering I-68 Eastbound form Johnson Street. Officers checked the area, but were unable to immediately locate the vehicle following the incident. The Cumberland Police have identified the potential suspect vehicle as a 2005-2009, dark in color, Chevrolet Equinox which will have extensive front end damage. There were no injuries to the occupants of the residence due to crash. The Cumberland Police were assisted at the scene by Cumberland Fire Department and the Allegany County Collapse Team.
