Police Serve Criminal Summons

On March 5, 2019, the Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Tina Raines, age 32 of Cumberland, MD.  The Criminal Summons stemmed from a Cumberland Police investigation into a counterfeiting complaint.  On March 4, 2019, officers responded to a business on Park Street where they meet with employees of the business.  Officers were informed that Raines was employed at the business. They explained that she had exchanged counterfeit U.S. currency for real currency out of the business.  Officers were able to speak to several witnesses and gather other evidence of the transaction.  At the conclusion of their investigation, officers applied for charges against Raines in District Court. A Criminal Summons was issued charging Raines with possession and issue of counterfeit currency and theft under $1000.  Raines was served with the Criminal Summons and released pending trial in District Court.

    I vr heard some good ones over my 49 years but I mean does she really think anyone will believe that anyone would believe this Whopper!??
