Police Serve Summons

On Friday Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Misty McDonald, age 37 of Cumberland.  On December 16, 2013, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a commercial business on Potomac Street for a Theft investigation.  Contact was made with the victim who advised that money had been missing since November 2013.  It was revealed that McDonald, an employee of the business, allegedly stole a total of $1,600.00 from her employer.  McDonald was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE:  Theft-Scheme 1k to under 10k.

 

Also Friday Police served a Criminal Summons on Dustin Beal, age 25 of Cumberland.  The charges in this matter were filed by a private citizen who alleged that during the month of December 2013, Beal harassed her by way of electronic communication.   The victim requested that Beal stop texting her cellular phone but he continued to do so numerous times a day.  Beal was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE:  Electronic Mail Harassment.
