Most of the year, if we hear sirens like this, we assume the worst, that something bad has happened, or that someone has done something wrong. During this time of the year, though, hearing what we hear now may mean something totally different. Police in our area, supported by community organizations and generous individuals, take underprivileged children shopping for Christmas. Saturday, officers from Garrett County held their holiday event. In Allegany County, Shop with a Cop will take place on Saturday, December 14, if you would like to help with wrapping presents, contact Sheriff Craig Robertson.
