Poll Asks Marylanders About Mueller Report, Possible Impeachment

May 10th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

A new poll released this week asked Maryland voters about their views on President Donald Trump, special counsel Robert Mueller's report, and possible impeachment.  The polling out Thursday from Gonzales Research revealed that there was relative consensus on Mueller's investigation, with 64.3% of voters saying they feel his probe was fair and objective. That included 57.2% of Democrats and 72.1% of Republicans.  Where opinions split is when asked whether Congress should launch impeachment proceedings based on Mueller's findings. While earlier polls showed about half of Maryland voters supported impeachment,  Pollster Patrick Gonzales told WBAL Radio that  those numbers have shifted dramatically.
