Potomac River Will Have No Major Flooding in MD

May 16th, 2014 by WCBC Radio

Hydrology from The National Weather Service says the Potomac River will have high levels, but nothing that will be too tough to handle.

The North Branch of the Potomac is expected to produce very minor flooding in the farm area west of Mexico Farms.  That's a level just above 12 feet.

The level in Luke crested just under 7 feet this morning.  That is not a flood stage, but is the level where the water goes over the dam at Newpage.
