Preaskorn Resigns At Alco

June 6th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

The Cumberland Times-News Sports Department is reporting Allegany Football Coach Tom Preaskorn has resigned.

Preaskorn had been the coach at Allegany for 11 seasons.  His record at his alma mater is 86-41, including a 14-0 record and a Maryland 1A Title in 2005.  He spent seven years as Head Coach at Keyser, posting a 55-24 record.

Preaskorn missed the 2007 season after being deployed to Iraq with the West Virginia Army National Guard.

His final game was a 14-7 loss to eventual Maryland 1A State Champion Fort Hill.  In that was the toughest game in the playoffs for the Sentinels, it could be argued that Allegany may have had the second best team in 1A last year.
