State Senator George Edwards told local business leaders Tuesday that preliminary discussions have been underway about pushing for Frostburg State University to become a Division II institution. Currently a Division III school- FSU cannot offer scholarships or financial aid to athletes for athletic participation. Edwards said that attracting more athletes draws more attention to a university and can help the college expand in other areas such as with economic development opportunities…
