President Trump’s Proposed Budget Again Looks To Elminate/Cut ARC Funding

For the second consecutive year President Trump’s proposed budget looked to eliminate or drastically cut Appalachian Regional Commission funding- but U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen reports Congress worked to salvage the program and secure funding once again. The ARC provides federal grant funds for the support of economic and community development in Maryland, West Virginia and 11 other states in the Appalachian Region. The goal of ARC is to create opportunities for self-sustaining economic development and improved quality of life.  Van Hollen said it’s a vitally important branch of the federal government for Western Maryland…
