Prices At The Pump On The Rise

The national average price at the pump has jumped three cents in the last week. Today’s national average price for regular unleaded gasoline is $2.32 per gallon, which is three cents more than one week ago, four cents more compared to one month ago and 52 cents more than the same date last year. Prices continue to fluctuate up and down across Maryland with Salisbury experiencing the most significant change with a five cents increase over last week. The state average cost is three cents less than the national average at $2.29 per gallon, reflecting a two cents increase from last week. Maryland’s average is beginning to trend higher than month ago prices with the cost per gallon a penny more than last month on this date. Year-over-year prices reflect a 52 cents per gallon increase. Cumberland’s price held steady at $2.41 but that is still among the highest in the state.
