Prison employee gave inmate marijuana

 A former employee of the United States Penitentiary at Hazelton faces up to five years in prison after pleading guilty in federal court to providing an inmate with marijuana. Cody Tyler Layman, 32, of Terra Alta, could also be fined $250,000, Acting United States Attorney Betsy Steinfeld Jividen said. The Cumberland Times News reports Layman resigned his position at the prison during the investigation. The incident occurred Aug. 27.
