Progress Report On New Allegany HS Construction

Progress is continuing at a steady pace on the new $51 million, 715-student Allegany High School being constructed on Haystack Mountain at the site of the former Sacred Heart Hospital.  Five years in the planning and two years of struggle to finalize the funding package, ground breaking was held in late May and construction commenced immediately with a fall of 2018 opening targeted.  Facilities director Vince Montana provided a progress report during this week’s school board session…
