Public Meeting Scheduled for Baltimore Street Redesign Concept

The Cumberland Economic Development Corporation will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, March 16th, to discuss Baltimore Street Redesign Concepts.  That meeting will be held from 4 to 7 PM in the ballroom of the Allegany Museum on Pershing Street.  Sage Policy Group and McCormick Taylor have been engaged as the economic analysts and design consultants for this project. After observing the current conditions, analyzing economic data, and conducting meetings with the Mayor and City Council, the Downtown Development Corporation, as well as business and building owners on Baltimore Street, The preliminary design concepts were created for review and feedback.  Cumberland Economic Development Director Shawn Hershberger says some of the concepts being considered include re-opening a portion of the mall to vehicular traffic and provide limited parking availabilities…
