Public-private event honors heroes of Maryland manufacturing

November 30th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

An association of Maryland manufacturing companies is honoring its champions. The Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland says the event Wednesday night in Windsor Mills recognizes 143 private- and public-sector entities that have created a positive image for manufacturing. They're not all manufacturers, or even business. The list includes the Girl Scouts, Notre Dame Preparatory School and mechanical engineer Nathan Scott of Johns Hopkins University.

Other honorees include Perdue Farms and Northrop Grumman Corp., and scores of small businesses around the state, from Salisbury Pewter on the Eastern Shore to Garrett Container Systems in far western Maryland.
