The Allegany County Board of Education and Superintendent Dr David Cox have invited all public school staff members to attend a forum to receive thoughts and information from staff regarding school safety, security, and mental health issues. The ACPS Staff Forum will be split into two sessions this afternoon at the Center for Career and Technical Education Auditorium- one at 4 p.m. and the other at 5 p.m. Safety in public schools has become a hot topic with the February 14th shooting in Florida- and just last month in Saint Mary’s county in Maryland.
