Rate Increases Possible for Jennings Run Customers

The Allegany County Commissioners have scheduled a public meeting to discuss a water and sewer rehabilitation project and potential cost increase for residents in the Jennings Run Sanitary District for Tuesday March 12th with Department of Public Works personnel. A portion of the cost of the $1.3 million state mandated project will have to be footed by customers. At the meeting, to be held at the County Office Complex at 7 p.m., Public Works representatives will outline project details and answer questions. Customers to be affected include water and sewer in the Mount Savage area and sewer in Corriganville, Barrelville, Ellerslie, Locust Grove, and along Jennings Run and state Route 36.
