Reaction To Mistrial Could Be Described As Peaceful

Though many in Baltimore feared a repeat of April's unrest after the outcome of Officer William Porter's trial was made public, the reaction to the mistrial could be described as measured and peaceful.  It’s reaction that Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake says she is proud of.  Although, protesters disrupted traffic downtown, there were only two protest-related arrests made by city police and sheriff's deputies. Even the Penn-North site that was the epicenter of April's standoffs was more a place for prayer than police. The mayor says she believes that lessons were learned from the April rioting…
