Recent Poll Highlights Current, Former MD Governor

It was a good news/bad news poll result for Maryland’s two most recent governors- with current Governor Larry Hogan getting highs marks, while former governor and current democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley barely registered among voters he served for eight years. A new Goucher College Poll of 636 Marylanders poll finds Governor Hogan with a 58-percent job approval rating. That same poll shows O’Malley's run for the Democratic nomination for president has little traction in Maryland, just as it does nationally. Since entering the race in May, O'Malley has received anywhere from zero-to-three percent in polls. The Goucher College poll of 373 likely Democratic primary voters finds O'Malley is the choice of just 2-percent. Poll Director Mileah Krome said Governor Hogan is getting strong bi-partisan approval…
