The renovation of the South Cumberland Library is complete and the grand re-opening is set for next week. The library closed May 31 last year for a $1.8 million renovation project that’s being paid for with a combination of state and county funds. Work by Harbel Inc. of Cumberland began last July. John Taube, library system director, said that improvements have been made to the walls, ceiling, carpeting, utilities and windows — with new walls added.
