New figures have been released that point to an even lower amount of people who have signed up for a health insurance plan under the state's health benefits exchange. According to WBAL News, 1,743 people have enrolled in private insurance plans through the exchange- much lower than estimates from health care officials. The state does say that more than 7,700 people who have logged onto the exchange have been determined to be Medicaid eligible.
