Ridgeley pawn shop robbed, suspects at large

The Cumberland Times News reports that Police converged on the J&S Pawn Shop  on Potomac Street early Saturday after receiving a report of a “burglary in progress,” . This according to Ridgeley Police Chief Mike Miller. The Mineral County Sheriff's Office is investigating the burglary after responding to the scene with Ridgeley Police and West Virginia State Police. The incident was apparently discovered at about 4:30 a.m. Miller said suspects have been identified and arrest warrants are pending. However, no one was in custody a few hours after the incident. Reports that guns and ammunition were stolen could not be confirmed, However, Chief Miller said “some items were stolen but we have recovered those items.”
