Rock band KIX to headline 3rd anniversary Rocky Gap celebration

Rocky Gap Casino Resort, a subsidiary of Golden Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:GDEN) based in Las Vegas, announced today that the platinum selling, classic hard rock band KIX will be performing on May 21, 2016, as part of the casino resort’s 3rd anniversary celebration.  

KIX was founded in 1978 in Hagerstown, Maryland. The band was signed with Atlantic Records in 1981, releasing multiple albums which spawned several hit songs and MTV videos before breaking up in 1995. The band re-emerged in the early-2000s, performing throughout the country at festivals, casinos and biker rallies. KIX has also been one of the headlining acts for the last four years on the Monsters of Rock Cruise, and has a massive cult following of fans who travel everywhere they play. 

“KIX is one of the most popular bands in the area, and I know our guests are excited that we have booked them for this event,” said Skylar Dice, general manager of Rocky Gap Casino Resort, “We will be announcing more exciting plans for our anniversary celebration very soon.” 

Gates for the outdoor concert will open at 3:30 p.m., with the band Troublemaker from Winchester, Virginia playing from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., and So Low, from Cumberland, Maryland playing from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. KIX will take the stage at 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, as no seating will be provided. All patrons must be 21 years of age or older to attend. 

Tickets can be purchased at http://rockygapcasino.com/tickets before Jan. 31 for $20 per person; from Feb. 1 through May 20 for $25 per person; and, if available, for $30 per person the day of the event.
