Rocky Gap Slots License Expected To Be Awarded This Spring

A spokesperson for the project confirmed this weekend that the two companies that joined together as Evitts Resort LLC last year to bid for the Rocky Gap slots license have ended their partnership.  On Friday, Lakes Entertainment said it would buy out its partner, Addy Entertainment, and go it alone once the slots license is awarded. Addy is owned by William Correa of Paragon Project Resources of Irving, Texas. The buyout is contingent upon the award of the license.  Evitts, which will now be exclusively a Lakes-controlled operation, is the only company still in the running to get the license. The spokesman said they  expect to have the license in hand sometime in late April or early May and design work will begin almost immediately. Allegany County Commissioners President Mike McKay told WCBC News that this shouldn’t be viewed as a negative or setback in anyway for the project…
