Schlosnagle MML president-elect

The Maryland Municipal League (MML), representing 157 Maryland municipal governments and two special taxing districts, elected Friendsville Mayor Spencer Schlosnagle 2014-2015 president-elect. Schlosnagle took the oath of office in a ceremony during the 2014 MML Annual Convention held at the Ocean City Convention Center from June 8-11.



 “I look forward to helping lead MML over the next year,” said Schlosnagle. “It is a great honor to serve municipal leaders from across the state.”



Schlosnagle will serve a one year term as president-elect before becoming president in June 2015. He previously served as a MML District Vice President.



Schlosnagle was elected to the Friendsville Town Council at 19 years old and was elected mayor at 21, making history as Maryland’s youngest mayor. He is an active member of the Allegany/Garrett Counties Municipalities, is on the Garrett County Municipalities Board of Directors and was inducted into the MML Hall of Fame in 2004. In addition to serving as mayor, he is Front Office Manager at Will O’ the Wisp Condominiums on Deep Creek Lake.



In addition to Schlosnagle, Nicole Wagoner, Cumberland councilwoman will serve as MML’s 2014-2015 district vice president.
