When the Allegany County Board of Education made it’s pitch to the Maryland Board of Public Works to approve a revised plan to fund the construction of a new Allegany High School- both Governor Larry Hogan and Comptroller Peter Franchot had some questions. The project came in some $20 million over projections last September, forcing the board to rescind the previously agreed upon financial plan- and essentially start over with a re-bid.
