School Redistricting Talks In Very Preliminary Stages

As the Allegany County Board of Education looks for ways to get its fiscal house in order, board vice president Sara Beth Bittinger says revisiting the idea of school redistricting could provide some answers.  She says that there are some cases where students who reside on the same street are attending different schools- and it’s not an efficient way to operate.  One of the benefits of re-districting is the possibility of reducing class sizes. Bittinger said that such talks are in the very preliminary stages…
