Search For Next Superintendent Of Allegany Co. Schools On A Fast Track

The search for the next superintendent of Allegany County Public Schools is on a fast track with the board needing to make a hire by the end of June. Longtime superintendent David Cox stepped down from the post last summer and Jeff Blank has been serving as interim. The board has retained the Maryland Association of Boards of Education to assist with the search and during Tuesday’s regular monthly meeting MABE representative William Middleton presented an overview of the search process. First up will be seeking community input by way of an on-line survey. Deadline to submit survey responses is March 16.     If the public is allowed to vote I vote for Mr. Blank. I want local leadership.

    Whoever gets hired must be paid the maximum amount of money available because we all know and government the more money you spend the better the outcome
