Sen. Cardin Says President’s Move On Iran Deal “Ill-Advised”

President Donald Trump's decision to exit the Iran nuclear accord is drawing reaction from Washington and around the world. Closer to home, Senator Ben Cardin, a Maryland Democrat told WBAL News that the president's move was ill-advised. In announcing his decision and its rationale, Trump cited issues like state-sponsored terrorism and ballistic missile testing. Sanctions and agreements related to those issues can be handled separately from the nuclear agreement, Cardin said, adding that the Iran nuclear agreement didn't exist in a vacuum.
