Sen. Manchin Becoming Active In “Fiscal Cliff” Debate

December 31st, 2012 by WCBC Radio

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia is becoming active in the debate regarding the fiscal cliff.  On Sunday, Manchin introduced a bill that he said would “soften the landing” if the two sides failed to reach an agreement. The bill is called The Calm Act, or the Cliff Alleviation at the Last Minute Act.  The bill would allow intervention by the Office of Management and Budget.
