Sen. Mikulski Approaching Retirement

August 3rd, 2016 by WCBC Radio

First elected to public office in Baltimore in 1971- Senator Barbara Mikulski, who has served longer in Congress than any other woman in history, achieved a career highlight last week when she was one of three placing the name of Hillary Clinton as her party’s nominee for President of the United States. The Maryland Democrat, first elected to the Senate in 1986, announced last year that she would not seek another term- and with just six months left on the job, she says she is having no second thoughts.
