Sen. Mikulski Calls For Democratic Party Unity

The final primary of the presidential campaign was Tuesday in the District of Columbia- and Maryland Senator  Barbara Mikulski, the longest-serving woman in the history of Congress says now is the time for party unity. Saying that the primary process is over, Mikulski has added her voice to the growing calls in the party to unite behind one candidate ahead of the July convention.  In a recent interview,  Mikulski was careful not to call on Senator  Bernie Sanders, who is trailing front-runner Hillary Clinton, to quit- but said that time is nearing. Mikulski endorsed Clinton prior to the start of the primary season and said she is glad to see her emerge as the presumptive nominee. She added however that the strong effort put forth by Sanders was not in vein…
