On Sunday, June 26th, 2016 officers from the Cumberland City Police arrested 7 adults for trespassing at the Gazebo located next to George Washington’s Headquarters on Greene Street. The arrests were the result of numerous complaints received by police of individuals consuming alcohol, causing disturbances, and fighting at the Gazebo over the past few weeks. The Gazebo is property is owned by the City of Cumberland and is posted no trespassing from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. The 7 adults were observed on the property after hours by officers patrolling the area. All arrestees were issued criminal citations and released pending trial.
