Several Arrests in City Friday

Trespassing Arrest

On September 22, 2017 at approximately 9:55 AM a Cumberland Police officer on patrol observed two people trespassing on CSX property in the area of Queen City Drive.  The location where the individuals were observed was in an area clearly marked as a no trespassing area.  Police made contact with Kathy Lou Cook and Robert Dale Clay who had been seen in the no trespassing area.  Both Cook and Clay were arrested without incident.  They were each issued a criminal citation for Trespassing on Posted Property and released pending trial in District Court.

Arrested: 

Kathy Lou Cook, age:  55, Cumberland, MD

Robert Dale Clay, age:  49, Cumberland, MD

Charges:  Both charged with Trespassing on Posted Property

Warrant Arrest

On September 22, 2017 the Cumberland Police served a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on Rick Franklin Imes.  Imes failed to appear for court on September 18, 2017 for an original charge of Trespassing on Posted Property.  Imes was taken before a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing where he was ordered to be held without bond.  Imes was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next appearance in District Court.

Charges:  Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear

Violation of Court Order Arrest

On September 22, 2017 at approximately 1:08 PM the Cumberland Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Baltimore Avenue for a disturbance.  Police contacted an adult female and Joshua Dylan Dinges, Sr. and learned there was an active protective order on Dinges ordering him to have no contact with the female.  Dinges was placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing where he was held without bond.  He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next appearance in District Court.

Joshua Dylan Dinges, Sr., age:  40, Cumberland, MD

Charges:  Violate Exparte/Protective Order

Burglary Arrest

On September 22, 2017 at approximately 5:02 PM the Cumberland Police responded to a residence in the 900 block of Maryland Avenue for a disturbance.  When police arrived they found Kara Inez Miller creating a disturbance on the second floor.  During the investigation it was learned Miller had arrived at the residence and pushed her way through the door after the male resident would not allow her to make entry.  The female continued to create a disturbance until police arrived and removed Miller.  She was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault, 4th Degree Burglary, and Disturbing the Peace.  Miller was taken before a District Court Commissioner where she was released on her personal recognizance pending trial in District Court.  There were no injuries during the incident.
