West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin says that while there was plenty of damage done to the Mountain State with last week’s flooding, there were also plenty of heroes to go around.
Tomblin told reporters that the spirit of his state will not be broken…
Several local groups have organized to help, including New Venture Christian Church, which is collecting cleaning and non perishable goods for the community of Ridgewood. Items can be dropped off at the church on Country Club Road from 9 AM to 1 PM, and 6 to 8 PM. They will also collect at Chick Fil A in Cumberland tomorrow from 6 to 8 PM.
