Sheriff Craig Robertson told the Allegany County commissioners last week that while the newly reunified Sheriff’s Office is running well- and that there is tremendous cooperation among the various law enforcement agencies in the area- he hopes the public can provide help as well. With a sagging economy leading to more unemployment in the area- crime is on the rise. Robertson, elected last November to replace veteran Sheriff David Goad, said that one of the steps he will be introducing is a new program that will allow the public access to better information on individuals wanted by this office; and the local crime scene in general.
