On 11.07.15 at approximately 5:00 PM Deputies of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office responded to Wal-Mart in LaVale, MD for a reported theft. Investigation revealed that 3 juveniles had shoplifted from at least three different stores in the Country Club Mall and were ultimately caught attempting to leave Wal-Mart. The juveniles were released to their parents and charges are pending through the Department of Juvenile Services.

On 11.07.15 at 5:10 PM a Deputy of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office was traveling eastbound on I68 when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle displaying expired registration. A K9 scan was conducted by the Cumberland City Police and a search of the vehicle followed. A quantity of prescription medication was located and seized
Charged in the incident were:
Michael Shane Sweitzer, 48 years old of Cumberland-
Displaying Expired Registration
Operating Without Current Tags
Failing to Notify the Admin of an Address Change
Possession of Not Marijuana
Kenneth Allen Davis 3rd, 45 years old of Cumberland-
Possess of Not Marijuana
Possess with Intent to Distribute
Both Sweitzer and Davis were taken before a District Court Commissioner and released on their own recognizance.

On 11.07.2015 at 5:30 PM Deputies of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office served an arrest warrant on Ronald Deffinbaugh, 48 years old of Cumberland.
Deffinbaugh was charged with:
3 counts of Violating a Protective Order
Malicious Destruction of Property
Littering
Trespassing
The charges stemmed from an investigation by the ACSO on 11.07.2015 at approximately 7:00 AM in the Bowling Green area.
Deffinbaugh was taken before a District Court Commissioner and ordered held on $50,000.00.

On 11.07.2015 at 9:00 PM a disturbance call in Westernport lead to an application for assault charges.
