A 30-year-old man was shot during an altercation in South End late Friday. Cumberland Police report the victim was taken by taxi to the Western Maryland Region Medical Center, where he was being treated for a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said in a news release issued early Saturday. The injury was not believed to be life-threatening.
The altercation occurred around 10:45 p.m. in the area of Oldtown Road and Virginia Avenue, police said.
