Shooting Suspect Returned To Allegany County

On Saturday, 04/18/2015,  Members of the Warrant/Fugitive Unit and Investigators from the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) traveled to Hagerstown, Maryland to pick up 38 year old Aaron Dvone Manning and return him to Allegany County to face charges of Attempted First Degree Murder, Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault along with numerous other related charges.

          The charges are the result of an incident that was first reported to the Cumberland Police of shots being fired in the vicinity of Spring Street. An investigation by C3I revealed that Manning was involved in a verbal altercation. Manning produced a hand gun and fired at two individuals while chasing them on foot in the area of Spring Street and Elm Street. No one was wounded. Manning fled the area and was located in Baltimore, Maryland on 04/18/15 by the Maryland State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit.

         Manning is awaiting his initial appearance before the District Court Commissioner.

         The investigation is continuing by C3I and the Cumberland Police.
