Usually if you hear police sirens, it's bad news.
Saturday morning at Walmart in LaVale, it was the Sound of Season, as the annual Shop with a Cop program took place. The Cumberland Valley Optimist Club organizes the event, which also received support from the DelFest Foundation.
Over 50 kids participated in the event, each getting around $100 to spend on gifts for themselves and family members, and getting to know a local member of law enforcement a whole lot better.
The day ended at the Cresaptown Eagles, which provided a place to gather a wrap gifts, and provided a delicious lunch for everyone.
