Deputies with the Mineral County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of Airport Road in Wiley Ford on Thursday for a call of shots fired. Upon arrival, deputies noticed a male and female on the roof of a residence and tried to contact them but they fled, according to David Rucker, director of Mineral County 911. The deputies entered the residence and didn’t see any weapons or the people on the roof.
“They couldn’t locate the male and female because they fled out the back of the residence. At no time were shots fired by anyone,” said Rucker. “It’s believed that they have warrants on them.”
The deputies, along with the assistance of Maryland State Police medevac Trooper 5, were searching the area of Airport Road for the male and female.
