The U.S. Small Business Administration has been in operation since 1953 with a mission to deliver loans, provide loan guarantees, contracts, counseling sessions and other forms of assistance to small businesses. Locally, after a difficult stretch resulting from the struggling economy- small businesses are on the rise.
