Some Oppose Effort To Construct New Allegany High School

A recent letter to the editor suggested that the Allegany County Board of Education is misguided in its effort to see a new Allegany High School constructed at the site of the former Sacred Heart Hospital building- suggesting that Cumberland no longer needs more than one high school. The project received a boost this past week when the Maryland Board of Public Works approved an IAC recommendation for planning for the new school.
