Sources have told WCBC that Appel's Gateway Bar has closed.
The business was located at 245 Beall Street.
The Appel's Gatway Facebook page had this posted Tuesday afternoon:
"It's with a heavy heart that write this. Appel's is officially closed. If anyone has any questions, message the page and I will pass them along. If anyone is hiring for bartenders please feel free to inform us.
"Thank you to everyone that helped keep this bar alive as long as it did. It's officially the end of an era."
