Stabbing In Hagerstown, Suspect At Large

Troopers responded with the assistance of Hagerstown Police to the area of Jefferson Blvd and Division Ave, for a report of a stabbing. On arrival officers found the victim, Michael Roberts, 37 YOA, with a bleeding stab wound to his back. The victim reported that he and a female were walking in the area when they were approached by a tall black male with a bald head. The victim reported the black male asked for his wallet, stabbed Mr. Roberts in the back and fled on foot running in the direction of Security Rd.

 

Troopers, Officers and a K9 were used to search the area but were unable to locate any suspect. As a precaution Troopers searched Pangborn Elementary School, and remained in the area until children were safely inside. An area search was conducted by Troopers and MSP Aviation Trooper 3. This case is currently under investigation.

 

No suspect has been identified at this time, but police are asking anyone with information to please call the Maryland State Police, Hagerstown. (301) 766-3800
